Tailgate Update

Auburn's official schedule has come out, and our 2nd Annual Broun Hall Reunion Tailgate is now somewhat mischeduled. The Mississippi State game is now September 15 instead of September 8, and we are planning to shift the Tailgate back a week to adjust. Better the SEC opener than South Florida, right? Anyway, that is now the new plan, and we wanted to get the word out. Mark your calendars appropriately!

The Sand is Blooming for Springtime

Holy crap, I've been neglecting the BB lately. Looks like most everyone else has too, for that matter. What's the deal?

I thought I'd open up discussion with a perspective from the desert. It's March, and all through the South, trees are turning lush and green. Temperatures are warming, dogwoods are blooming, and squirrels are frolicking. We're only weeks away from the beginning of baseball season (the only true indicator of summertime).

I say this, but I witness none of it. Here in the wasteland of Arizona, there are only rocks and cactuseses ( i.e. assload of cacti). No frolicking squirrels, no green canopies. The ground is still full of sand, and the trees are still bleak as ever. Pretty much the only taste of an Atlanta springtime that I'll have is watching Atlanta Braves baseball on TBS.

I remember that one moment every summer... when my Dad would turn on the air conditioner for the first time. That whoosh of cold air would signify the official beginning of summer to me. I also vividly remember the green canopy of leaves outside our house... at dusk, it would look amazing. The ground would be so dark, but the green of the leaves would be illuminated by the indigo sky.

...

So yeah, I wanted to share this and ask yall what springtime is like in your neck of the woods. Do share.
