Various News
Three pieces of blog-related news to relay, in chronological order.
1) New Blood
I'm happy to report that we may have two new posters join our ranks for the first time in quite a while. Hopefully we shall see first posts from Missy and Hoser shortly.
2) He's Baaaaaaaaaaaaack!
I'm even happier to report the return of one of our own, and my fellow admin, to the South. Welcome home, Bubba! I'll be heading to Atlanta to help him move into his new place this weekend. He tends to rarely have time to post himself, so I thought I'd just get the jump on this one.
3) Auburn Football Approaches
Well, it's that time of year again. The previews are coming out, the practices are getting rough, and the groupies are getting...um...nevermind. Anyway, it's almost time for my kick-off to the season with an Auburn Football Preview that is blatantly stolen from ESPN.com and a Sports Illustrated article that I read, with some added personal commentary. This would have been posted already, but I have found that I have had a little bit of trouble getting myself psyched up for this coming year. I guess I've also been a bit wrapped up in sports that have, say, a legitimate way to determine who the champions actually are at the end of the season. But don't worry, the preview should be coming soon, hopefully sometime next week.

Computer, Begin Personal Log.
Recently I became intrigued reading Sara's "LiveJournal". Hey, this thing is neat - it gives you an easy way to keep up with friends, as well as an outlet to talk about miscellaneous happenings in your life that nobody really wants to listen to... unless they were sitting at their computer reading random entries from their LiveJournal friends.
Albeit infrequent, as well as about as thought provoking as an episode of Sealab 2021, I enjoy posting on the Broun Blog.
The keyboard provides for me the perfect communication medium, bypassing my social inabilities, allowing an uninhibited flow of thought. I wish I could utilize the keyboard as a communication medium more in my life.
I also regret (and this one is the most important) losing touch with so many of the people that I have met over my four Auburn years. Very much. Baton Rouge is a strange and sometimes lonely place - and I find myself wishing I could go down to the lobby and chat with the desk assistant, or see who's watching movies.
Getting to the point:
Partly as an experiment to see what will come out of my own psyche via my keyboard, and partly to try to stop the bleeding of losing touch with said people, I've started my own LiveJournal! At the moment, it's quite devoid of anything interesting, but it will get there.
I would be honored to be a part of the friends list of any other Brounies (or Brounie related folk) out there with a LiveJournal. You can find me as "AuburnTigerRich".
I will try to post something every day, and comment on every LJ in my friends list.
Developing lasting friendships with people you admire (even if by the Internet) will greatly enhance the quality of life. This I believe, and now strive for.
All times Central. War Damn Eagle.
