Jason Campbell Draft Update

Let the wheeling and dealing begin! The first trade of draft week has occured, with the Washington Redskins trading with the Denver Broncos in order to get the #25 overall pick in the draft (1st round) in addition to the #9 overall pick that Washington already has. According to ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli, this trade was done for one reason, and one reason only - so Washington can draft Jason Campbell in the 1st round with the #25 pick. With both Ronnie Brown and Carnell Williams still currently projected as Top 5 draft picks, and Carlos Rogers expected to go to the New Orleans Saints (16 overall) or Cincinnati Bengals (17 overall), Washington's move makes it a near certainty that 4 Auburn players will be 1st-round draft picks in the NFL Draft this Saturday-Sunday.

EDIT - Here is the link to the ESPN.com online column about this trade, which is actually not hidden behind an Insider login (at least at the moment). Full Story
