The First Blegging.
Web + log = weblog = "blog"
blog + begging = blegging
With that in mind, I must inform the Broun Blog that, despite my best efforts, I was unable to record the Samurai Jack/Clone Wars marathon on Cartoon Network tonight. I tried; still not sure what it is I did wrong.
Anyone record it, and is anyone willing to loan me the tape sometime?
Thanks.

AU Preview: Citadel
The Preview:
We're going to **** them up.
End Preview
Honestly, ESPN didn't even bother to do an Insider preview of this game. So here's mine - it's not about whether we win or lose, it's about whether or not the team executes as well as it did against LSU. If our under-talented OL can continue to hold the line, we should be fine. If Cadillac finds holes, he can get himself back into the Heisman race. A tired Div I-AA defense vs. Ronnie Brown? Let's think about that one. The real key to watch in this game (which you really can't do unless you're at the game, it's not even on PPV) is whether or not Auburn's WRs continue to catch the ball like they did against LSU. This is a tune-up for next week's HUGE game against Tennessee, and if we continue to fire on all cylinders, we can go into Tennessee's house and hopefully knock them down. Also, this game is a test of Auburn's mental toughness, as the team seems to have a historical habit of mental breakdowns following big wins. If we don't win by 42, I'll consider that a mental breakdown.

One, Two, Three, Fourteen?
Anyone who visited Broun 304 during my tenure at Auburn might have noticed the, ahem, rather sizable U2 poster over my bed. One could say that I'm a bit of a fan.
Well, the first new album in four years -- How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb -- is coming out November 23rd, days after the Iron Bowl. Its first single, "Vertigo," will be hitting radio stations very soon and is now online. I won't be posting too many posts about the Greatest Band of All Time, but this song well and truly rocks.
Seriously, it tears the roof off the sucka.
Turn it up loud, captain!

Long Ago, in a Distant Land...
I can't believe I beat Bubba to this post.
Even if you don't watch cartoons at all, you NEED to be tuned in to Cartoon Network on Saturday the 25th at 6ct.
Toonami is presenting 4 never before seen episodes of one of the most jaw dropping animated sagas of all time, Samurai Jack, along with all twenty chapters of Star Wars - Clone Wars. It's the Genndy Tartakovsky evening!
Considering all the horrific garbage Cartoon Network has been playing lately (specifically, endless reruns of "Ed, Edd & Eddy" and "Scooby Doo" intermingled with "Baby Looney Tunes"... *whaorf!*), this Saturday will be a redeeming factor. I still can't fathom the thinking behind CN's obsession with Scooby Doo. It's endless! Does anybody else know what I mean? I'm afraid that I've outgrown the network.
Set up your VCRs, folks.
All times Central. War Damn Eagle.
