Auburn goes Bowling

The bowl games have been announced, and Auburn is going to the Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Florida on Jan 2 at 12pm (central) on ABC. The #7 Tigers (9-2, 9th in BCS)will be facing #21 Wisconsin (9-3, 18th in BCS) of the Big 10. More detailed infomation will be forthcoming as the game draws closer, but in the meantime, I am pleasantly surprised at Auburn getting the Capital One Bowl, which is essentially the biggest of the non-BCS bowls, since I had expected LSU to still be ranked ahead of Auburn in the polls following their SEC Championship Game loss to Georgia. LSU gets banished to the Peach Bowl on Dec 30.

Other SEC Bowl Games:

Sugar Bowl, Jan 2: #11 West Virginia (Big East Champs) vs #8 Georgia (SEC Champs) in Atlanta
Outback Bowl, Jan 2: #25 Iowa vs #16 Florida
Cotton Bowl, Jan 2: #18 Texas Tech vs #13 Alabama
Peach Bowl, Dec 30: #9 Miami vs #10 LSU
Independence Bowl, Dec 30: unranked Missouri vs unranked South Carolina

EDIT - Added new poll information to all teams listed. LSU dropped WAY down in the polls, much more so than I had expected. All rankings are via the AP poll unless otherwise indicated.
